The WildHog Story
I have been bar-b-cueing since my dad handed me the tongs at twelve
years old and said “Scotty your in charge”.
I have always loved cooking and it is a passion with me. There is nothing
like cooking a bar-b-cue for a large group and have everyone come up
to me and ask where did you get that rub seasoning, sauce or marinade.
They have even asked me where did you buy that bottle rub or seasonings.
The look on their faces when I tell them “it’s my own” is one of amazement.
I used to give out my formulas and let everyone in on the secrets I’ve
learned from years of standing over a hot bar-b-cue and cooking. Then
more and more people kept telling me I should sell my stuff. Well here
I am selling rubs and seasonings on the net.
There are some folks I do need to recognize. First of all I would like
to thank my mom and dad for teaching me how to cook at an early age.
Then there are my two daughters that have tasted all my experiments
all their lives (poor girls). Bruce Trujillo and his family for taking
me in when times where tough and teaching me what bar-b-cui cooking
and family is all about. Then there is my wife Julie and our son Charlie
that eat all of my newest creations and suffer through the good, the
bad and the ugly with me.
Why Wild Hog Foods for a name? Before my wife got a hold of me and settled
me down a bit, I was known to run a little wild at times. Then there
is nothing like a pig on the cue and a bunch of friends and family around
to enjoy the good food and a good time. So here we are with this new
challenge to help people like you enjoy my all natural rubs, spices
and seasonings.
