Barbeque Recipes and Tips:Oven Quick Pork Ribs1. Take two racks of ribs and cut into three pieces so they will fit into a large pot. 2. Put ribs into a large pot filled with water and bring to a boil. Turn down to a simmer for twenty minutes. While simmering scoop off any scum from the top. 3. Drain water and let the ribs cool. Cut ribs down to individual bones and lay out onto a cooking sheet. Sprinkle generously with Scotty’s Wild Hog Meat Rub Seasoning and place into two one-gallon zip lock bags. Place into refrigerator for two to twenty-four hours. 4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place ribs out onto a large flat backing pan. Cook for 45 minutes turning every 15 minutes. Take pan out of the oven and brush on your favorite bar-b-cue sauce then cook for an additional ten minutes. Turn ribs over and brush on more bar-b-cue sauce and cook for ten more minutes. 5. Will serve six to eight people generously. Slow Cooking Ribs1. Sprinkle two racks of ribs with a generous amount of Scotty’s Wild Hog Meat Rub Seasoning. Pat the rub seasoning onto the meat to insure it sticks, rubbing is not recommended. Wrap in tin foil and let sit in refrigerator for four to twenty-four hours. 2. If using a gas grill, preheat grill by turning on your left burner and bring the heat up to a steady 250 degrees. If using a charcoal grill pile charcoal on one side then light and wait for charcoal to be fully lit, or until all the coals are white. You can check your grill temperature with a thermometer to insure the internal temperature of the grill is about 250 degrees. When using a charcoal grill you will have to add charcoal during the six-hour cook time to insure the temperature maintains at 250 degrees. 3. Place ribs on the upper right rack of the gas grill or to the opposite
side of the charcoal so they will be cooked by indirect heat. Cooking
time should be approximately four to six hours. After this you can put
your favorite bar-b-cue sauce on the ribs and let caramelize over the
low heat, turning at least once and adding more bar-b-cue sauce. More to comeSend us yours.... |
